Michelle initially trained as a general nurse, and later as a mental health nurse. She developed a keen interest in the Eastern Healing Arts, leading her to discover Shiatsu, which she qualified in in 1999, before going on to qualify in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in 2005. She practices acupuncture and shiatsu at Cavendish Cancer Care and privately.
